I was honestly kind of liking this until the ending hit. Completely undermined what fun I was having with it.

Does anyone think it will have a sequel? I know they were expecting a better box office with the way the end was set up. I personally liked it.

I enjoyed this for the most part. It was a fun action movie, I probably didn’t need to spend $20 on it but it’s cool. I’ve liked most of Mark Wahlbergs work over the years. Malkovich s hair was unnecessary.

You see all the bullet points on the back of the case for the bonus features & go to watch them & they are all less than 2 minutes each. Gosh darn it just put them all together for a short making of documentary at least.

"say hello to your mother"....that was great
I wasn't expecting any sort of "high art" and still walked away from this one blown away at just how awful it is. Could've been quite entertaining and rewatchable if the action was serviceable, but the editing ensured that wasn't the case, and everything else (plot, the acting) was a big mess. I really wanted this one to be good, too.

You won't think that when you actually watch it.

I have already lol.

There's aspects I like, but the sum of its parts are trash.

This movie is not worth 12 or 10 bucks or anything. God, the more I think about it the more angry I get at, especially when similar thrillers like Sicario 2 and Den of Thieves exist (which are WAY better than this nonsense).

This was one of the few movies I was looking forward to this year, but the negative word of mouth put me off

I'll rent it from itunes when it's $0.99 and see for myself, I'm curious why most people think it's THAT bad. I think it has the ingredients for a "good" dumb fun flick

It's fun in a ridiculously stupid way for a while up until the ending where it pulls a double whammy of a out of nowhere plot twist and a cliffhanger that'll never get resolved.

Power to ya if end up enjoying it but I'm just warning ya.

That ending........

I was entertained up to that point but now I'm left with a bitter taste in my mouth. I don't understand how the filmmakers thought that ending would work. Mindboggling really.

Bought this at Target since it was on sale, I just realized the digital is ITunes only, that's pretty weird.

Watched this last night. While I enjoyed certain aspects of the film, I thought overall it was terrible, I was suprised because I really enjoyed both Deepwater horizon and Patriot's day. There are a few entertaining parts, however the plot is a mess, and I became tired of the characters constantly arguing with each other. I guess I was expecting more, well at least it only cost me a couple of bucks rental at redbox!

Watched this last night, this was a terrible movie not even worth Redbox. The editing pissed me off so ****ing much I mean you have Iko Uwais who can deliver with great fight scenes but with how poorly this film was edited I barely could tell what was going on. As much as I love the previous Wahlberg/Berg projects this film felt like the dollar tree equivalent to the other flicks.

This plus the dialogue made the Transformers movies look like Shakespeare..

Yeah, I feel the same way. I was enjoying it, but the end left me scratching my head. Seemed somewhat anti-climatic, and am still wondering what happened that "changed the world"... I keep feeling "did I miss something?". Definitely my least fav Berg film.

I hate when movies set up a sequel that will never happen. Jesus that ending was bad

Really enjoyed this one. I was expecting the worst after the terrible word of mouth but it was a solid action thriller with some great scenes and plenty of effective tension. I wish they'd calmed down on the editing a bit during the fight and action scenes though. I don't get it, Berg doesn't usually go so crazy with editing on his movies. The ending would've been great if a sequel was coming but as it's not the ending is just OK. At least it makes a nice change from the usual happy ending though, so kudos for that.

The 4k HDR stream of this on AppleTV is really nice looking. Shame it's not on disc, though I thought the movie was pretty terrible and wouldn't buy it anyway. Nice 99 cent rental though, a special of the week.

This thread is hilarious, and proof that you just need to experience some things for yourself.

I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. I felt like the action was great. I went in blind and wasn't expecting that gunfight/kung fu mix up. I loved the bullet action and all the gushy headshots in this one. The end was definitely a twist... just sucks that we won't be getting a conclusion to this
