All of a sudden I'm in the mood for watching some G1 cartoons.

And I'm actually thinking of seeing Bumblebee at the cinema.

What does that mean though? That it'll get a HDR pass? I should think that's mandatory for pretty much any new studio movie right now.

Can't wait. I really liked Last Knight and the G1 designs for this movie. It really looks like the franchise is heading in the right direction. I will support this films release. I have yet to see a movie in Dolby Cinema...is this a candidate and is Dolby Cinema worth it? When are we getting Beast Wars spin-off Paramount pleazzzzzee and bring back Michael Bay!

Oh man, Beast Wars, that cartoon was awesome. I think I watched it on YouTube or Netflix recently. Boy did it look dated, but I still loved it!

Beast Wars was my jam back in the day. I remember watching that Reboot back in the early days of charmingly crappy CG animation.

I love Reboot, Beast Wars and Machines. Mainframe entertainment where did you go!!!!!

Specifically the last 2 seasons of BW with all the G1 tie in lore goodness.

BW Megatron is best Megatron, let us not forget he killed Optimus Prime by shooting him in the face. Epic monologue and voice acting by David Kaye

The writing on this show was so good. Dinobots death gets me everytime.

I think director Travis Knight is just new to HDR passes. He only directed stop-motion movie: Kubo and the Two Strings (2016), which got a DV grade btw.

Didn't know this was coming out. Hopefully it's better than those other movies.

Please do. I love Hailee Steinfeld (have ever since True Grit), but goodness, this movie looks bad.

Word is this one is good and the trailers seem to reflect that. It’s definit best to keep expectations in check though, it’s better to be surprised than disappointed.

Must be a Transformers fan thing because these easily looks like this could be one of the better Transformer flicks. Way better than the recycled MCU formula that Hollywood and action films in general really needs a break from

I am no Transformers fan. I'm hoping the movie is good, but the trailers did not look promising.

If it helps, the director of this film is Travis Knight who directed Kubo and the Two Strings which was very well received critically.

It also depends on the writer (or usually in these cases, writers) and if Michael Bay interfered.

Some directors need solid screenplays behind them, or they flounder.
