Don't think this is gonna do too well financially but I'm sure this will still get a UHD.

“In theaters now” lol I wish. I can’t wait to see this movie (though I do wish they would do one more in the main series of movies just to properly wrap it up- The Last Knight ended too openly).

It doesn't even have to do amazing numbers to be a success since it cost less than half as much as The Last Knight to make.

$102 million budget, the lowest budget in the franchise yet. With a budget that low it's pretty much bomb-proof bar it being a total disaster. It really only needs to hit around $310 million worldwide to make a profit. Even if this makes half as much as The Last Knight, it will still be way more profitable. It'll probably make around $400-500 million worldwide when all is said is done. Christmas releases tend to have very long legs and it's main competition is Aquaman; which IMO is not going to be as big a hit as everyone seems to think it will (it'll make bank, but it won't make as much as some think it will).

Judging from the trailers, it looks to me it'll be a different kind of movie than the previous flicks.

The character designs for the Transformers look so damn good in this one! This is how they should have looked in the Bay movies in the first place, love the recognizable G1 look! Not so sure about the movie itself though...

Marketplace will be very crowded when this drops and there's a lot of overlap with the target audiences for Poppins and Aquaman. Also I just don't sense a lot of excitement about this movie. But happy to be proven wrong if that ends up being the case.

I'm really curious to see which movies my Dolby Cinema will be showing that week. I'd love to see this, Aquaman, and Poppins but I know it won't be playing all three. Whatever is showing will end up dictating what I see. Hoping to at least see this (likely by myself) and Poppins (with the family).

Transformers movies always make bank overseas while DC is struggling. For example; The Last Knight made over $200 million in China alone while Wonder Woman only made $90 million in China.

Bumblebee will probably close out at around $450-550 million at a guess, but that will be enough to make it hugely profitable.

Had zero interest in this one (I really dislike the Bay movies). Then the new trailer hit and I saw old-school Soundwave show up. Now it's day one for sure.

Yes! The last trailer I saw made this look even more awesome. I thought it was going to be a nice story about Bumblebee and this girl and their relationship and all that... but the trailer showed some awesome action, Megatron going into gun-mode, Soundwave and a cassette jumping out of his chest! I was not expecting that from this movie. Granted it will be for only like a flashback, but then Bee goes into berzerker mode so who knows!

This trailer is so typical. Yeah, this will be mainly about Bee and Haliee's relationship, set against the background of the war between the Autobots and Deception, while they are also being chased by an evil John Cena (surprised to see him in such a high profile movie btw).

Soundwave ejecting a cassette, that looked really great. And did you also see Shockwave? This will be my main interest in this movie, to see what the Transformers side characters will look like. I took a look at the credits on IMDb, and it looks like Cliffjumper and Blitzwing will also make an appearance.

I'm quite sure I'll be wishing this was a Transformers movie instead of just a Bumblebee movie after having seen it...

Perhaps it will be more of a Transformers movie than we realize... Bee will of course be the focal point, but maybe there will be a bigger emphasis on the war?

I have to look up all of these characters because I forget them all, but that old-school feel (being an old-school setting and all ) really peaks my interest. That is starscream right? I ask because there seem to be so many jet decepticons.

Well, Blitzwing is a Decepticon and he can also transform into a jet... But other than Starscream, there were also his jet buddies Thundercracker and Skywarp. Hard to make out who exactly is in the trailer though, need to take a closer look and probably pause the screen.

Edit: if you pause the shot in which you see Shockwave, you'll see three jet Decepticons (otherwise known as Seekers) standing next to his right side. Judging from the jet nose behind his head, I think the first one is supposed to be either Ramjet, Thrust or Dirge (the "coneheads", although none of them was actually green). The middle one definitely is Starscream. The third looks the same as Starscream, so he could be anyone of the other Seekers.
