It will have the original audio track for sure, which is mostly English, but there is also important dialog in French and German. Being a release for the German market, it might only have German subtitles. Thus, an English speaker watching it would not understand the non-English portions.

There are some German releases offerering even such English-friendly versions though. But I'm not sure right now if Koch is one of the companies doing so. And it may be a deal-breaker for an English speaker indeed.

But we'll find out.

Koch's 4K release of Neon Demon didn't have HDR so I wouldn't be surprised if their Suspiria release doesn't have it, either.

I could live with having no English subtitles for German/French speaking parts, but no HDR?

I would be surprised if this is coming without HDR, because according to Koch, Neon Demon came in SDR/709 because it was shot that way (whether that is correct, is another story, but I "doubt" they'll be able to come up the same "excuse" here).

It already states 4K HDR and the iTunes preorder is 4K HDR with Atmos

My dude, my pants creamed a bit when I read this and flat out burst “Randy Marsh in South Park internet episode” when I saw it on iTunes. Not really but you get the idea, pretty sweet to have that option over an unknown overseas release.

Price for the regular edition is down to 26,99 € on ama.de now.

Best price I can find for the Ultimate right now is 79,97 € btw (so 99,99 list price seems valid at any rate).

I was wondering about that. I am more a Argento giallo fan, and Suspiria never quite hit with me. I was wondering though if a revamped version might appeal (as has been the case for me with a few remakes, like Aja's The Hills Have Eyes.

I couldn't care less about Atmos and Koch NAILED IT with the Mandy ultimate edition (English subtitles included btw! would've loved a 4K tho) so I'm really excited for this 4K ultimate edition. So I think we're safe with English subtitles BUT I think we're gonna have to set them for the whole movie, rather than only getting them on the French and German portions :/ Really hope not though. No idea about HDR though, we'll just have to wait and see.

I already have the Neon Demon digibook and the 4K is on the way but if they did an ultimate edition for that I'd triple dip. I think Koch just might become one of my favorite BD studios along with Arrow and Criterion (and Artificial Eye, if you exclude a big lot of their problems).
