There's no need to post that just to hurt the HDDVD owners. They know where they stand & nobody needs to punch them in the throat with it.
Unless they're on the "special children" list with RDJam and the gang. Then punch away

Speaking of which, they've been vewy vewy quiet lately

Now, there are some individuals that deserve lots of "punishment" for spitting out lies about HD DVD, but the "in-your-face" approach is rather counter-productive.

I go on the AVS forums to talk about other media devices (such as A/V receivers) and on those forums HD DVD and Blu-ray users get along. I have never seen them argue about which format is better, at least not on those threads...

Back in late August, I was talking with a Christie employee that was upgrading some multimedia components in one of our conference rooms at work and I told him point blank... "you should have bought Blu-ray and not HD DVD". No argument. He did mention that he thought HD DVD will win, and I told him otherwise... I think he became a bit apprehensive from that moment on.

I don't think that these posts are addressed to people who bought into the format because of a title that they love, but more so to the fools who swear till death that HD-DUD is an equal or a superior format. I think all these people deserve what they are getting, except for the one's who acknowledge Blu is superior but due to their financial situation opted to side with HD.

Same deal with the HD-DVD supporters.
We are all in this for the same reason.
We want our movies in HD!

Enough already.
We need to embrace our HD bretheren and welcome them.
Once they see a Pixar movie on Blu, that is all the reasurance they will need that the right path has been chosen.

Can I get an AMEN?!
Amen and could not agree with you more!

Bottom line they deserve to be ridiculed if they continue to spill the hd dvd propaganda.
Agree 100%. As with any spin situation, there are the innocents and the offenders. I hold no animosity toward the innocents but those who spewed FUD all the while get no sympathy from me.

I don't quite think this is fair. I (and I'd imagine a few others on here) found the value of being able to enjoy a few select movies that were only available on HD DVD at that time to be worth it, and I don't regret any of my HD DVD purchases. I never once had a doubt that Blu-ray would be the eventual winner, and my Blu-rays outnumber my HD DVDs, I'm just not seeing how I'm an idiot because I simply wanted to see those movies in high-def at that time.

I will agree that anyone who bought into HD DVD recently with the mindset that it would be around forever and have a serious chance at winning the war would be, in a nice way of putting it, misguided. I just don't like the idea that anyone who purchased or owns anything HD DVD-related is a stupid fanatic though, that's all.

You know what though, there are ones that are just movie fans, but they were never a problem to begin with. Chances are they were purple anyway, or have already moved over to blu.

The ones that deserved, and still deserve as much face rubbing as possible are the ones that are still out there spreading fud. The ones that will never get a blu player just out of spite, or the ones that sure as hell won't tell anyone even if they do.

These are the ones that didn't buy into DUD for any reason other than they think blu ray equals Sony and they would do anything and everything to see it fail. The same ones that are out there spreading sour grapes fud that HD media is dead and downloads are the future, or that DVD is good enough and theres no reason for HD media now. The ones that so can't handle the fact they lost they would forego having an HD format just because they hate Sony beyond reasonable comprehension.

No I don't have any sympathy for those people.

Agreed.

Those add-ons must look great sitting on top of an already odd looking console.

The PS3 looks sexy sitting with the rest of my gear under my HDTV. Sexy baby.

On the one hand we could show some class. On the other hand, some of those hd-dvd boneheads really are a**bags and should have a slap upside the head.

On the other hand, we didn't want to be treated badly when Paramount abandoned Blu-ray. On the other hand, if WB had dropped Blu, like some of those poor, delusional saps were saying, they would show no mercy towards us and have no remorse in torturing us.

I really don't advocate people looking to start fights especially people from the winning side, but there's a few people on that dead HD-DVD.com site that have post histories there and across several other forums that I can assure you deserve zero sympathy and frankly deserve to have no quarter spared for the @#%$ that they deserve to have piled on them.
