For those unaware the DC Universe streaming service now supports 4KHDR and they add the DC animated movies the same day as the disc release.

Thanks to this I will be watching a DCU animated movie on day one for the first time.

I thought they usually added them about a month later. That's at least been the trend for the last few releases.

I might have spoke too soon. It seems that this movie isn't on the service today along with the disc release. Whatever agreement they made with Viacom to get the TMNT license could be preventing them from adding it.

This is likely a special case and shouldn't affect Batman Hush. That will be on the service day one like Reign of the Supermen and Justice League vs the Fatal Five.

of the bad guys part. Everything else was good and I loved the way Batman looked but what I said above is enough to stop me from watching it again. I just lost interest after that.

I bought the regular BD and the packaging said it was a 5.1 audio track but my receiver played it as stereo.
Has this happened to anyone else?
Movie played fine. There were no audio or visual glitches that I could tell.

In the audio setting, they only list the tracks by language , not channel type.

I threw my disc in and immediately noticed the same thing. However, after messing with settings to no avail, I just let it play and noticed that literally only the dialogue comes through the center channel, and nothing else. Then, to get it to play through the surround speakers, I literally switched my audio out on my player to a random different setting, and then switched it back to what it should be, and it played fine, albeit still with a dialogue only center channel. It was a really weird glitch, and I'm glad someone else is experiencing it because I thought I was going nuts.

I streamed it and wasn't expecting much, but this was actually quite good! I have added the UHD to my list on amazon.

I'm kinda embarrassed for DC Universe that, at this stage in their infancy, they'd not have every single piece of content available Day One on their service. The fact that this is STILL not available to stream on the platform, especially in light of their press release that certain content would now be in 4K, makes me glad that my year subscription was free (not that I'm looking at gift horses or anything, but there's an infuriating lack of anything to consume on the service!).

To be fair this isn't part of their "DC Universe Animated Originals" that are meant to be available on day one. This is more of a one off like the Adam West Batman movies and it's likely Nickelodeon/Viacom is preventing them from adding it to the service.

I watched this last night and thought it was lots of fun! Had a strange issue with my disc though. While the standard Blu-ray looks fine, the 4K disc had strange banding or chroma issues on my UB820 and Vizio P65-C1. Messing with some of the features of the player seemed to minimize the effect a little but I couldn’t get it to go away entirely. Has anyone experienced anything similar? Here’s a (fairly poor) shot of my screen with my phone camera (please excuse the quality!). Not the obvious distortion from the camera, but specifically the horizontal lines on his neck. Totally absent on the standard disc but they pop up fairly regularly on the 4K version. Since I’ve had no other similar issues with anything else I’ve played, I’m wondering if it’s a bad disc? Or maybe some sort of issues with the HDR?
