I have a soft spot for this one, far more than any of the shit Mummy sequels.

Yep! I can find some moments of good in them, but I don't particularly care for them compared to the original film.

I do really enjoy "The Scorpion King" though.

Yep, not seen since the cinema but loved the ride and it showed me The Rock had charisma

Ok, you got me here. Maybe I should revisit it. I remember not liking it when it came out, but my taste in movies changed, that much I know

I do love this movie. It was one of Dwayne Johnson early films. I read that he had accidentally knocked out Michael Clark Duncan during a stunt. Got him an expensive watch as an apology.

There is a lot to enjoy with this movie and I can't wait to see how it looks.

A ruthlessly efficient B-adventure, there's not an ounce of narrative fat on this one... it's a better Hercules-type film than when The Rock actually played Hercules later on.

Not sure if that BD-100 is correct? Why would they use a BD-100 for this?

It's just odd considering their other upcoming catalogs, like Hellboy II, are only going to be 66 and have DTS-X, and this disc says it'll only have a commentary on it. It's cool they are, just odd.

Those Scorpion King renders are hilarious, some of the worst I've seen, even worse than Mummy Returns., how could anyone forget once seen. Shame, as it takes away from what is actually a very good movie.

Movie is just 91 minutes long, and only seem to come with US based subs/audio.

Sampled this on Netflix. Looks average at best in parts but shows its age. Wondering if Universal are going to remaster or simply employ digital tools to spice up the video.

There’s no DI according to IMDb. So yes, expect a new 4K scan of the negative

You're mistaking The Scorpion King for The Mummy Returns

That's what I thought but they mentioned Mummy Returns in their post so I guess they weren't talking about it?
