The Kino BD of The Emerald Forest incorrectly has a mono soundtrack and not the original stereo. Can’t think of any other versions of this unfortunately.

Excellent. Didn’t know that there was a German disc of The Emerald Forest. I’ll try and do some digging and see if this is the correct stereo track. It is by Studio Canal the same as the UK DVD so it may well be.

This should actually be The 6th Man.
The Sixth Man pulls a different disc.

Bitter Moon

Too damn bad I was looking forward to Bitter Moon. Hopefully Kino Lorber has a disc replacement program soon similar to Paramount an Saving Private Ryan although I won't be holding my breath.

6th Man should be in 5.1, not just stereo. And you can add Camp Nowhere to the mono list- unbelievable that the older Mill Creek disc had the same problem and Kino made the same mistake- someone seriously needs to be fired. The Emerald Forest was one of the first stereo movies we rented, inexcusable that they messed that up!

If you're looking for a "solution" for MY FATHER THE HERO and BETSY'S WEDDING, you could use Mill Creek's Blu-Rays since they are in stereo.

Was the Mill Creek HOLY MATRIMONY in stereo? I can't remember. Some of the Mill Creek Disney discs are also mono afflicted (like HEARTBREAK HOTEL and CAMP NOWHERE) but not as many as Kino's.

Outer Limits Season 2 had an audio issue with disc 1 and they offer(ed) a replacement. Not sure if it’s still active

Replacement programs that stop don't make any sense to me. What if you don't find out about it for long after the replacement program allowed timeframe?

Cast a Giant Shadow- our of sync audio
On the Beach- out of sync audio- no sync issue on Australia? disc.

Neither offered a fix other than Kino’s emails about firmware. There were a few others around that time that had audio sync as well

Someone posted a possible sync issue with Kino's 4K remaster for For A Few Dollars More recently. Here is the link to the thread. It's on the last page at the bottom. No other confirmations as of yet though.

I have the KL BD of ON THE BEACH, as well as the UK BD, and the ancient MGM DVD. They all have identical sync issues in the same scenes. They're most pronounced in the scene where everyone is at the beach, where Ava Gardner and Gregory Peck are in the field at her farm and a few other exteriors.

Since the sync problem exists on all these discs, with different transfers, I'm fairly sure it's inherent in the film. Those exterior scenes most likely had to be redubbed in post when the film was made in 1959, so it's logical the sync might be a tiny bit off.

It's true though, there were a few others around that time with wobbly sync. My KL disc of Frankenheimer's THE YOUNG SAVAGES has slightly offset audio sync that is not present on the MGM DVD.

Apologies, there isn’t even an On the Beach Australia release showing here so I need to figure what movie that was.
