A 90:10 ratio so soon after the warner announcement would *pop* the eyes of para & univ.

Well it encouraged HD DVD fan boys to buy more Warner before it goes away and spike the sales so that Paraversal stay. Expect those $99 players to make the ratio 75:25 or so.

If you ordered 9 you can consider it done already.

I say that we do one the week of February 5th...

Because the 6th is my birthday and everyone should just buy one blu-ray for me

Plus I can maybe spend money that week because of the whole birthday thing.

Wouldn't expect that until Warner stops producing HD-DVDs completely in May.

The last month and a half or so I've had a buy-a-thon every Tuesday.

But if your serious, come up with a date and I'm in.

I have the titles I want right now and am buying titles every week that I want. I am not going to buy just to buy anymore.

I need to let the coffers refill, but mostly I've bought everything I want. We need some decent new releases, particularly foreign ones.

Does anyone know for sure if Warner has stopped production on there HD-DVD's? The only thing that concerns me is that if keep the production of the HD-DVD's and wait for a certain date to cut it off. I would hope that the date they have gave us is correct and they will slow or completely stop there production before this date. Just a concern of mine. My 2 cents, but I will keep buying as soon as a get some $$$.

Do we really need to lower ourselves to buy a thon's at this point? Buy a thons are for those that are desperate (like HD-DVD). Petitions, buy a thons, etc., aren't needed right now and it makes us look just as bad as the desperate HDers. There's just no reason for it. One of the spoils of victory is being able to buy Blus normally without regard to the format war.

Buy-a-thon should be maintained until HD DVD is officially declared dead, but I think all people here buy Blu-ray at such a high rate we can be considered as doing Buy-a-thon all the time

I bought 85 last week plus 2 more last night.

My next buy a ton won't be until the end of February when I get my tax refund money.
