Ok so terminator can't do 1080p? What is the meaning of this?

As I understand it, the master film elements used for Warner's release of Terminater 3: Rise of the Machines on Blu-ray were made from a 1080i digital master, which caused all sorts of Bad Things to happen to the picture quality.
