The Offence is a very disturbing movie and Connery is very disturbing in it. Also probably his crowning achievement as an actor.

The only one of those I’ve seen is Medicine Man and I liked it though haven’t seen it in maybe two decades. Outland always seemed interesting to me but have yet to see it.

Outland...best Western in an "Alien"-like atmosphere.

Wow, based on all these comments, it looks like I really need to see Outland. I've never heard much about it, so I think I just always dismissed as being as bad as Zardoz.

Among my favorite Connery films:

Highlander
The Man Who Would Be King
The Untouchables
Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade
Goldfinger

Hitchcock's Marnie needs a little love, too.

He's got a Eenie weenie part in The Longest Day, during the D day landings. He's also got a part in The Trucking drama Hell Drivers. Just wanted to throw that out there. My faves are untouchables, the rock, Indiana Jones 3. Outside of the top bonds of course.

He really blew the lid off with Red October. Watched it in 1990 and even that young, it left me with the greatest impression of his acting ability.

Shame I didn't see another film on that level for him to star in, unless I missed it somehow.

I remember I saw "October" in a class in high school, and bought it later.

Saw "Forrester" 2x when it was out, but not sure I'll watch it any day soon.

I just watched The Great Train Robbery last night, which starred Connery and Donald Sutherland. It was actually quite fun. It felt like Ocean's 11 in the 1800's.

Doh, forgot that one. So for me it is the aforementioned 3 + Red October.

Interesting that Outland is such a favorite.

Also very interesting, that so far nobody cares for Cuba, despite many high marks given by IMDB user reviews.

In any case, it seems Outland is the one to go for.

I remember watching it when I has a kid in the 80's and thinking it was o.k.

Guess I'll have to go back and watch it again now.

There are many other Connery movies I'd recommend over these, but wanted a selection of lesser known movies to vote on. Everybody is going to recommend Indiana Jones, the Rock, Untouchables, and his Bonds, but none of those would be "lesser known".

Also, yes I'm a big fan of Rising Sun. Such an unlikely pairing, yet it works quite well. But also not lesser known in my book at least.

Never seen Outland from start to finish although I do remember what I saw as enjoyable. I've never even heard of Cuba until now. My wife loved him in Medicine Man saw I saw that many times. I guess whether you saw them or not depends on what you were doing when they came out and what you were into. Obviously I have some watching to do.

No love for Just Cause?

Great thriller.

Finding Forester is also excellent.

I'd hardly call Highlander lesser known.

However, that reminds me the 35th anniversarry of Highlander is coming up, and I would love a 4K Lambert set. H1, H2, H3 and End Game.

Don't much care for The Source.
