Default Rating Sean Connery Movies

To remember Sir. Sean Connery, here’s a poll to rate some of his lesser know movies. In case somebody want’s something different to watch with him outside of Bond.

I chose Outland, or High Noon is space.

When I was much younger I LOVED Robin and Marion but I tried to rewatch it a year or so ago and man that thing was lethargically paced.

As much as I like the source material, and as good as Connery is as Quatermain the movie is just terrible. Also not a lesser known movie of his.

Outland is top shelf.

I don't recall if it was a hit or not but The Great Train Robbery is one of my favorite Connery films and it doesn't seem too get much recognition these days.

Voted Outland.

But the correct answer is The Offence.

Its been awhile but yeah I remember enjoying it a lot in the past, Zardoz definitely has its charms is you go in expecting an over the top hippy sci fi.

Its quite well known of course but I always felt The Man Who Would Be King was his(and Caine's) best film.

Shame that 'Family Business' isn't on there. The film is slow in places, but Connery is an absolute charmer through the whole film, and the drama is engrossing. Available on Prime in the UK...

It's Zardoz and Outland for sure from that list. Zardoz... Boorman was soo ambitious with that one, I feel he kind of lost his perspective during production.

Other non-Bond film that might be for you:

- The Name Of The Rose (masterpiece)
- The Russian House
- Rising Sun

Outland is an excellent movie that stands up extraordinarily well after nearly 40 years. The bigger the screen you can see it on, the better.
