He has some great points but those were on the 1/21/08.
As he is finding out everday is that NASA has been calling it wrong and it keep getting closer. His new comments and a picture of him

What I find odd is that the experts are some what split on what could happen at it's current projectory. What the problem is that every day it moves closer so it will skirt closer as it goes by.If the distance get at 0.0028AU hmmm I think it will be very interesting lol lol Digg a hole lol

I assume you mean "coming OUR direction".

The problem is people don't understand science. They think 700,000km with large error bars updated with 530,000km with small error bars means the scientists are getting something wrong.

But, if anyone is convinced armaggedon is coming, I can give you a paypal account to forward your now useless money.

I think you are missing the point. The updated figures as to the distance as it passes, are far MORE accurate. That means they have a much BETTER fix on where it is going to be. Nothing to worry about. However, if you insist on playing Chicken Little about this, then I suggest you sell eveything you own, put on a robe and go to the top of a large hill waiting for the end.

I will keep my PS3 and move underground were I will eat spam and drink V8.
After all the damage is done I will then go back topside were I will start a tribe called PS3 and we will rule the world lol lol
But any way it could hit it may not hit...whatever happens happens.I just find it pretty cool that it is coming so close and we could see something from it.

Size of the Empire state building? That is a huge rock, but it's not "end of the world" size.

Don't we have missles to blow these things to pieces?

I also think an asteroid that size is not a "global killer". But it could be interesting.

Not a global killer - but you never know. When was the last time an asteroid the size of the sears tower slammed into our planet? With science changing every day - lots of things could be wrong.

If it "did" hit - wherever it did would be devastated. Earthquakes, tsunamis and the like would happen all over.

If that video on you tube with the prediction of path is correct - that is a bit too close for comfort. In terms of the "universe" it's a near hit or "close call".

granted that is a REALLY big rock, I beleive a good portion of it would dissintegrate in the atmosphere. And we dont even know where it would hit yet. Heck, if it pummels the middle of RUssia, we'll all be fine

This is what you need to worry about

"I saw the movie Armageddon the other day and as usual, Hollywood gets it all wrong. We wouldn't have to blow up an asteroid that is going to hit the U.S. All we would have to do is slow it down enough for the the Earth to rotate us out of the way." - Emo Philips

The hookers and booze sounds good. Don't have a step dad so I'll settle for stealing a Lambo and going on an end-of-the-world joyride.storrrrrm.gif
