I take it the original is still lost?

My first Milligan movie was The Body Beneath and Nightbirds from the BFI release. After that I lapped up all I could on Blu plus I also have the Milligan Grindhouse experience DVD set, not all of which have made it to Blu yet.

The last one I picked up was Fleshpot on 42nd St which I rather enjoyed as well. I enjoy them all of course as they’re gloriously mad and bad but occasionally Milligan surprises.
Very nice. Love both of those. I feel like Fleshpot is his most accessible, it is a masterpiece, i prefer the softcore version.

Is this a slasher? Judging by that artwork this looks like something I would watch.

I'm wondering how this will be housed packaging/disc wise. I'm thinking like the Adamson set?

It seems that it would be in a box-style package to me.

So are Legacy of Blood, Guru and Carnage totally new to Blu in this set? Discounting the alternative versions for now, I’m just trying to take stock of exactly what we’re getting vs what was already available.

Code Red released Blood on a double bill with a non-Milligan title Legacy of Satan but never released Legacy of Blood, right? Or am I just totally confused with all the similar sounding titles?
I do get Milligan films mixed up in memory, especially the ones with his frequently revisited mad family theme.
And getting to alternative versions, looks like both this set and many of the older individual releases have exclusive cuts and aspect ratios?

It’s looking like I might just have to hang on to everything!

Looks like disc 2 doesn't include the Play either film with dialogue only option that the BFI Flipside release includes but it does have a commentary for The Body Beneath that the UK one doesn't have.

Just bought the surgikill dvd since it wasn't included. I'll probably regret that, lol.

It's a painfully unfunny comedy and easily Milligan's worst film.

Would it be good for people who like really bad jokes?

I do like really bad jokes and I still found it torturous. What I've seen of Red Rooster is also painful. If you think his horror movies are bad, wait till you see his comedies.

Despite having owned and sold the Code Red blus of Torture Dungeon, Bloodthirsty Butchers, and Man With Two Faces, I'm probably still going to pick this up.

New directors cuts, proper aspect ratio, and the raft of other films is enticing, and the trailer definitely sold me, much like with the Adamson set.

Odd however that the two films rediscovered by Nicolas Windin Refn aren't included, especially as the 1080p version of House of Seven Belles is up for free on his website

Anybody have a list of Milligan films that are available and not in this set? DVD only included?

First I thought I heard only two films were missing (the two released by Garagehouse pictures), Severin I think said this on the podcast.

Then someone pointed out there's a dvd of Surgikill.

Now the two found by Winding Refn are noted as not included.

Anything else?

Turns out someone posted this in the Severin thread at basically the same time I was asking.

1) The Severin Set
2) Seeds (Vinegar Syndrome) - fot the alternate version that SWV originally released on DVD
3) Nightbirds (BFI) - for the Play either film with dialogue only audio option
4) Monstrosity (Garagehouse Pictures)
5) The Weirdo (Garagehouse Pictures)
6) The Ghastly One: The 42nd Street Netherworld of Director Andy Milligan (FAB Press) book by Jimmy McDonough

7) Surgikill (1988) - Not sure who's released this or wether it is available on BD or not
8) Adventures of Red Rooster (1984 TV series) - Not sure if this unfinished sitcom has ever had any kind of release

Both the following have been released unfinished on the byNWR site:

Compass Rose (1967)
House of Seven Belles (1979)

You know I noticed in the news thread that they zoomed in on the spine of the collection. It says "storage case included" on there. I don't think I've ever seen that on a package before. This has me intrigued
