Good choice, you're gonna love it. I almost always use this movie to show off what Blu-ray can do. This movie is an adrenaline rush. I love gore, so this is my kind of movie.

All I know is that before I bought it, I was skeptical. However, as soon as I popped it in my PS3 and watched it in HD, I was hooked! Not only was I impressed with the HD splendor of the movie, but the storyline I thought was captivating and well worth it! I liked the movie so much that when it comes to showing people the quality of BD, Apocalypto is usually one of the movies I show them, if not the first one!

I'm going to go with no. Call it reference quality material if you want, but I don't go to the movies to watch a documentary. Whatever cameras Mel used gave it that feel. As far as the movie goes, it was quite predictable and too much like the Patriot at the end. I'm sure even if Mel didn't have anything to do with this one, I still would have made the connection, or with Home Alone, you'll see. If you want though, give it a shot, apparently it's me against 20.
