The Peter Tonguette commentary should be interesting. I love his Peter Bogdanovich book, and I just heard his excellent commentary on James Bridges’ September 30, 1955 from Kino Lorber

Noticed that the Amazon page for this release lists it as a Region B/2 release. Is that something they include for any Australian release regardless of if it’s region free (which I had heard Imprint releases always are), or does that indicate that this won’t be region free?

Pretty sure everything Imprint has released has been region free. You should be fine. They probably just list everything as Region B/2 because it’s easy and there’s no downside for them when that’s proven to not actually be the case.

That’s reassuring, thanks!

My copy of Hard Eight looks excellent but then again that's only a sample size of 1. Will be interesting to see how they do on Days of Heaven, I have that on preorder.

Release date has been kicked back to mid-September (15th), so I guess we will be waiting a bit longer!

Considering Via Vision says Sept. 15 and it’s their product, I’d vote that DeepDiscount is mistaken.

JB HiFi has it for September 15th as well, so it's absolutely that date in stores as well

Strangely, the Via Vision site has now changed the release date back to August 25th - although Amazon AU and the likes of JB Hi-Fi still list it as September 15th. Strange.

Either way, I imagine DeepDiscount will start shipping the week commencing September 6th.

They shipped mine so its official street date was Aug. 25.

Out of interest, may I ask when they shipped it? Was it this week?

Still waiting on my DeepDiscount order of Straight Story + Days of Heaven to ship; hopefully won't be waiting long based on your experience of them shipping Straight Story already!

Being cynical, perhaps Via Vision delayed the August 25 titles because of JB's B2G1F sale

To support the idea, the May batch was also delayed maybe because of JB's/Amazon's B1G1F sale

Just speculating though

Has anyone who ordered the August titles direct from Viavision received a shipping notice yet?

Why would VV care, though? Surely JB pays them the same price for the merch either way?
