Would be nice for completions sake, but the international just works so much better

On that note, I don't think we'll ever see Highlander 2 on 4K, since there is no finished version committed to 35mm beyond the original theatrical cut and the unfinished reconstruction from Panzer-Davis was done at HDTV resolution, while the Renegade Version was SD video.

I hope they finally erase that rope that holds him up when he’s floating in the air at the end.

We can hope, but it would be a monumental effort to bring any version of the film to true HD. From what I understand all the negatives and rushes still exist but the big question is would there be enough demand to rescan and re-assemble everything?

To sound like a broken record I'm partial to the International Cut of H2; it's like a halfway house between the US Theatrical Cut and the Renegade Cut. Plus I love that cheesy "Fairytale Ending"

So what markets can we expect this to be released on? Are e.g. more or less all StudioCanal movies released in the UK?

I feel like these labs are working under designated contracts. Fidelity is currently with Arrow (which is perfect) and Hiventy is with SC. No idea if it's a certain number of titles or a specified time period, but that's how it looks. If Hiventy does Manhunter I'll barf up a lung.

Many years ago, I sold Gladiator Taiwan Steelbook with the butchered Blu-ray disc inside for £500 ! The buyer's terms and conditions were:

1. Steelbook must be in mint condition.
2. Must be opened as the one he had had a small dent.

What's strange is I didn't even list it for sale. I was contacted randomly because I was a mad Steelbook collector at that time and the offer was too good to pass.

Some people have weird taste and cravings you know.
