It depends how you look at it. We know they have a TON of manufactured but unsold players. We have only FUD stating that they are running current production lines at full capacity.

If you believe they are actually producing significant quantities of players, then yes, they are wasting money. If you believe they have given up and are just wanting to get rid of existing inventory before calling the whole mess over, then it's wasted money, and the price cuts are just a way of recouping the already lost investment.

And how many more million $s will they be wasting buying that Superbowl spot??

Why don't they invest that cash into OLED technology development, or something more worthwhile.
