If you have time could you plz check any mentioning of 1) HDMI: Deep Color and 2) Supported voltage, the info might be printed/sticked on plugs/case or in the bundled manuals

I have mines locked in my car. Once I get it home I will wait overnight to avoid any kind of possible condensation from messing up my system.

Even my mother who's visiting walked in the room and was blown away by the PQ off of Tallgaeda right away.

And yes, she's like most mom's who wouldn't really notice or care normally.


FWIW, I went into the video settings of the PS3 and said yes to all resolutions accept 1080p, since my TV won't do it and I have the thing set to 1080i as my preferred resolution. So far no issues.

I think I'm getting a little bonus here:

I've run two PS2 games without any hitches and it looks like they're getting a free bump to 480p.

The two games are Final Fantasy 12 and Raw vs. Smackdown 2007. No glitches so far. The virtual memory card setup and everything has worked perfectly for three hours of use thus far.

Resistance: Fall of Man will be my first PS3 game I'll fire up soon.

MS, HD-DVD and Toshiba have nothing on this. I can see why MS's FUD campaign has been so aggressive: The 360 isn't in the same league as this machine.

I know. I can't wait.

I haven't even opened all those other BD's I told you about yet. I know Tallgaeda, BD50 or not, is hardly the best PQ compared to some other discs, although it's pretty impressive in its own right.

Cool stuff: If you press the select button during movie playback, you get this nifty overlay that tells you all the tech details everyone wants to know: Video bit rates, audio bit rates, video codecs, audio codecs, all that jazz.

I think you better post on AVS as well of your findings. Lots of HD-DVD and 360 trolls harping on a few users bad experience with the PS3. d3code is far too busy playing Resistance.

Waste of my time. I'm too busy enjoying myself as well. I really feel like it's Christmas time today and I'm simply in too good of spirits to ruin it by making that mistake.

Besides: They can just watch the national news and watch the numbers start rolling in. It'll speak for itself.

So, for those who were fortunite enough to stand in a mile long line and come home with a player under $ 600.00 , consider yourself lucky. ENJOY!

I have to believe a lot of those auctions are sabotaged or fraud jobs.

Your clue?

Look at Completed Items for some of those and the bidder history. If you see a bunch of zero review people in there, going back and forth? You know that auction was blown up.

If the winning bidder was a zero bid person, it most likely is sabotaged and the seller will never see that money.

Sheer insanity.

How jealous am I? I've got another four months to wait and still no actual date for launch.

But at least JTK has confirmed everything I've been hoping; that the PS3 delivers the goods. That's all I need to hear.

At least by the time it arrives here supplies shouldn't be a problem, there will be loads of games and movies, and any teething problems should be resolved.

Four long months. sigh.

Looking forward to more from JTK and others that managed to bag one!

Congrats to all who have managed to bring home their PS3s!
I am VERY pleased with what I am reading so far.
I am most happy to hear that the PS3, as a Blu-Ray movie player, is annihilating standalone Blu-Ray players costing far more!
I also love hearing that the PS3 is so elegantly built....sexy and slick, yet built like a friggin' tank (NOT a cheaply built piece of gear by any stretch).
And yes, I'd love to see a review of "Kingdom of Heaven" played on a PS3.

An ancient Chinese proverb says, "When someone tell a lie one million times, it becomes a truth."

I think it is necessary somebody continues talking about the truth and dening lies there. On AVS lots of trolls spreading lots of lies hard.
For example, "BR playback of PS3 is softer than HD DVD addon." " If you don't have 1080p capable set, BR playback and geming automatically reduced to 480p, hehehe..." "It easily overheats. Ouch!"

Unfortunately, some innocent souls will believe them. Many people will be influenced by them even if they do not believe them if not corrected properly.
