Also, Isn't there a new Eva series?

I dont know about a new series, but I'm pretty sure they were remastering the movies (maybe parts of the shows?) and were releasing them in theaters in Japan recently (a couple months ago?) and vaguely remember hearing about them doing quite well.

I believe the new movies were like alternate realities? Like Shinji is confident, Rei is bold, and Kaworu is straight.
