You're right and the limited poster edition of Invaders from Mars is sold out I'm told, but the standard edition will follow.

I hope we start getting two classic movies in 4k in a set from all studios. Have to give props to Paramount and let's hope they've started something.

These won’t be in the same case will they? Hope they each have their own cases and slips.

This reminded me that I bought the Criterion of WOTW last year during the BN sale and still haven't watched it. Hope paramount includes some good extras on this.

I'm very fond of two-packs, triple-packs and larger collections that bundle several movies together in one case.

Looking over at my shelves right now, and I love stuff like the Best of Bogart Collection, the Sony Godzilla double features, the Special Effects Collection, the Ultimate Laika Collection, etc. Multiple discs in one standard-sized case, sometimes with a nice slipbox or the like. Convenient, looks nice and clean, and - most importantly - it saves space; something you realize is invaluable as your collection grows.

In this case a double-feature single package is totally appropriate since they're both George Pal affairs often mentioned together in the same breath. I'm totally in on this- I love all of the classic sci-fi coming including Invaders From Mars- I only wish they were coming earlier since all of these have always been summer-time movies for me.

Most definitely saves space. I have several double/triple feature blu-ray sets (love those Sony Godzilla ones). It would be very welcome if it trickles over to 4ks. I can think of a ton of great horror/sci-fi films from the 50s and 60s that I have little hope will make it to 4k but maybe multipacks might do the trick to incentivize studios.

Target pre-order is up, and yes, it appears to be a double feature, in one case. This is great news that this is a 4k UHD release. Really hope to see more of these classic sci-fi and classic horror releases in 4K UHD. Time to place my pre-order ! !

Oooooo ... wouldn't it be awesome if a company like Indicator (or Criterion) would put together a George Pal box set? (Dreaming again).

Format going strong. Will do my part with a purchase granted it's free of technical issues.

No, it'll be a wide release, Target just listed it first (they often post stuff before others).

Holy moly....not just WoTW but also When Worlds Collide!?!?!?
Of course it's after I finally got the CAV LD with the isolated score...

Two all time SF classics in the same year as the still unbelievable Invaders From Mars announcement. Wow.

For those who haven't seen it, When Worlds Collide is basically the original film that spawned the Armageddon type of film. It's humorously dated in places but its heart is absolutely in the right place. Most commendable is announcing the problem early on and showing how it increasingly affects the world.

Also Warner Brothers -- Omega Man and Soylent Green.

These are just no brainers actually. I probably wouldn't buy When Worlds Collide by itself but with War of the Worlds I'm all in. I think that would work that way for a lot of double features.
