I bought the collectors edition for 59.99 and the collectors edition strat guide. (but I'm a FF fanboy)

For 20 dollars there is no reason not to buy this game.

Hmm, interesting view/opinion. Kinda curious what leads ya to that belief.

Personally, I feel the opposite, but that may just be because vaguely danish accents bug the bejebus out of me . And perhaps initial bias from awareness of the differences that went into the voice acting process/casting with the two titles.

I thought XII was Crud! Vaan is the worst main character in HISTORY! His voice, his homosexual outfit, what he says, how he runs... he is so effing gay.

I loved FFX so much, and i love Dragon Quest 8 a LOT too. My DQ8 save had over 80 hours on it, i lost the save when i sold my PS2 to make room for my PS3 =( I bought back all my fav PS2 games however, including FFX, DQ8 and a slew of others. I also picked up Final Fantasy 12 even tho ive never played it, i tried it and didnt like the battle system much (im used to turn based final fantasy games), but i will give it a shot.

XII was meh... the only thing I liked about it is setting up the battle gambits. It's fun to see your guys working out their problems on their own like a well-oiled machine. As soon as a battle starts, I dropped the controller and watched. Other than that, it's kinda meh... the story was meh, Vann was more than meh, in fact he's lame. I finished the whole thing just to see if the ending made up for the meh-ness... but it didn't. the gambits rule though... I would get a game that comes with just the battle system of XII

The way I saw it, Ashe should have been the main character.

As far as im concerned the FF series ended at 6 and that there were no other titles released after that.

No Popeye 7, No I hate the world 8, No Sleeper 9, No Sexy Fantasy 10, and its sequel Sexy Fantasy X2.

Im sorry I had to do that lol.

Um but seriously I lost faith after FF7 in the FF series.

I guess this is just my own opinion, but im looking for something, and I just haven't found it yet, so many games got really close yet they were so far away from my ideal RPG..

I couldn't agree more about 6. That was the Best one IMO. However it's only because I grew up with it. People that have started playing FF with FF7 will believe 7 is the best and other from this generation that will go back to revisit 6 probably won't like it.

However it's still a gem in my book and one of the best....now only if they would remake that one....since they are remaking FF4 on the DS.

You should have bought the PS2 memory adapter before you got rid of your memory card. You would still have all your old saves...

Have remade 4 on the DS. Hopefully it's sales do as well as 3 [and 3's sales did well enough] to justify a US release.

Yes and I don't have a D/S, if there going to remake it, I hope they do in on the PS3 and use the PS3's capabilities to even further improve it.

Be honest, Chrono Trigger was my first square rpg, followed by 4 and then 6.
