I pre-ordered it when it went live, and finally added the Death Game Soundtrack CD to the order as well...grrr.

I haven't seen Impulse in years, and own no other pervious disc version of it, so it'll be good to revisit.

I ordered a copy to my new Stackry USA address, as the shipping is only $6 compared to the $24 to ship to my address in Calgary!

If there's an 80's subgenre this predates it's the "there's a crazy killer living in my house" type film. It's more like Scream for Help, Night Warning, The Stepfather, or Hider in the House than the traditional slasher..

It's closer in tone to a psycho biddy movie, with William Shatner as Bette Davis and Ruth Roman as Joan Crawford.

I just watched this and loved it. Shatner is hilarious in it.

Only film in Grefe set I really liked was .. whiskey mountain. Almost kept the set because of that film. Not quite a keeper. I think Tarantino is a big fan of it as well.

Also, on the gravestone it says .. MOY.

Is that a shot at Leonard Nimoy by any chance?

If anyone's interested in, Josh Olson, the writer of A History of Violence and the co-host of The Movies That Made Me podcast, picked this film as one of his five picks for the "Crime Stories" episode of the Pure Cinema Podcast back in 2017 (the discussion starts at 17:17). His description of one particular scene has never left my mind since, and that's what makes me excited with this release.

Wasn’t that one a pretty ratty looking print too?

Yes, WHISKEY MOUNTAIN was from a rare widescreen print, but I think it was flat letterbox rather than anamorphic. The color was faded and there was print debris as well. That print may be the last surviving widescreen print of the film.

I'd love to have FLESH FEAST included, although I don't think that Grefe had anything to do with it.
