I can't understand how the various studios overlook how desired pre–Star Wars Sci-Fi on UHD is.

Most of post Star Wars sci-fi output is out on UHD (besides what Disney holds), but most 1950-1976 output is still MIA.

Collector box kinda hides that its 4K focused on the spine and front outside and it has nice art plus includes the 3D….

It's been available since January 1st. I think it initially said it ends on May 30th, but it's still valid, so who knows. I would guess it'll be valid until at least the end of the year.

FYI - you can also order from the GRUV eBay store, it's included in the "buy 2 get 15% off" deal. Always double check the ebay prices against GRUV.com, sometimes their prices are higher on ebay, but this pre-order is the same price in both places. Some titles on eBay store also charge shipping.

Kinda strange that I watched this (in 3D, of course) just a couple of nights ago! Forgot how great the 3D effects are! The telescope, the ladder, the hand reaching for the gun and The Eye!! LoL
I'm projecting on a 150" screen and this movie, along with "House of Wax" and "Creature from the Black Lagoon ", are the three best 3D movies ever! IMO, of course. It's fun to have a Triple Feature night with these classics!

4K/3D isn't in the format's specs, and it's hard to imagine that coming along, unfortunately. The last TV model supporting 3D was released around 7 years ago, and while it was a UHD TV, it wasn't displaying 3D in 4K either.

I wonder why the regular release doesn't have the same awesome art as the interior art for the CE? I don't care about the extra stuff but always prefer the original art. Still, it's pretty cool Universal are giving the movie a CE. I could see them doing the same for other titles like Psycho and the Birds.
I wonder if the CE will be available in Canada.
