It's a smaller movie so theatrical expansion isn't likely but this won't be hard to see.

RJLE will give it a blu-ray release, and probably a steelbook.

It hits Shudder on December 22nd. You can get a free trial if you don't have it to check it out.

Have only read on here about a German Blu-ray release so far (by Capelight Pictures, released in mid-December). There is a listing for it in the Blu-ray.com database.

The reviewer on this site gave it 2 out of 5 stars. I guess he didn’t like it all that much.

Seeing the last available showing I could find over here in Tuesday. Looking forward to this, seeing Thanksgiving tomorrow. Awesome to have two original slashers in theaters at the same time.

This was all over the place tonally. I liked the slasher elements and the killer but the rest didn't really work for me, and Justin Long seemed to be in a completely different movie to everyone else.

I tried to give this another shot on Shudder and…I like it even less the second time around. It looks ugly and feels cheap and it’s a Scream homage in all the worst ways - there’s a scene on a staircase where they have to step over the killer that means to emulate the iconic car sequence from Scream 2 yet it’s so poorly planned with such a ridiculous amount of forced tension that it’s just embarrassing. This has a decent premise that just didn’t have the budget or the creativity to do it justice and what we are left with is a flat, *joyless, unfunny flick that thinks it’s a lot clever than it really is. Lucky for us, Thanksgiving was SO strong (and also Scream 6) so it feels like slashers still have lots of life left in them. This one is not it though, sadly.
1/5
**** Earned its one star for a visually cool kill in the opening and the very funny line about showing dick on TikTok.

Finally watched it, was fun in a low budget way. Was made with some skill and the killer looked cool. It had zero suspense imo. Some of it felt forced imo, but I will still be adding to the collection once the Blu ray is cheap. I liked Thanksgiving way more, but as good and fun as that one was, there was very little actual suspense too. The only slasher to recently have some legit suspense have been the Fear Street movies, Terrifier 2 and Scream 6.

Enjoyed this. Some good camp, some good kills. Some of the digital blood was distracting but overall, I thought it delivered on the kills + festive ambiance. The main girl, Winnie, is likeable and easy to root for.

[Show spoiler]My biggest issue was the ending felt tacked on. I felt like a twist was coming regarding the father being a killer, maybe an apprentice but when it was revealed that they were just drones it felt awkward and quick. They never really went into it. I was totally along with the conceit of the film but they didn't seem to fully nail down the whole Aurora Borealis, spirit, drone thing. It perhaps needed more build-up, hints of a a drone society. The movie, to it's credit, moves quickly but its conclusion needed some hashing out.

So overall, fun movie that (mostly) delivers on it's holiday horror promise but with an ultimately uneven and muddled conclusion.

3/5. I personally found this mostly on par with Eli Roth's more popular Thanksgiving. A well-made holiday slasher that ultimately mishandles it's ending.

I wouldn't hate watching this again during a future Christmas marathon though. I dug the Angel killer outfit. I only wish it had more "Christmas" related kilings like Thanksgiving did. An ornament shard or something lol.

This was a cute movie. I can forgive any shortcomings because
[Show spoiler]the two girls remembering everything and getting together was a really feel good ending and it made me happy. I needed that boost. I loved them together.

2 stars from me also. Just boring, predictable and super by the numbers.

Early site review is up with screenshots and boy, was this a stinker. Decent Blu-ray, though.

This movie was fine, but now I'm questioning if I liked it as much as I thought I did. I love supporting indie horror on physical media, but unsure how much replay enjoyment I'll get out of this. I thought Justin Long was the best part, as well as the slasher's angel costume.

I was really looking forward to this after a pretty great trailer. The film however was boring with zero tension, and a super predictable twist. Luckily Thanksgiving came out and actually lived up to it's trailer.

Bought the digital from Vudu. I’m deciding if I should watch it now for Halloween or wait until December X-Mas time.
