""The Case of the Bloody Iris" has significant damage, like the discolored blotch you can see here, covering a major portion of the image. It usually happens over a series of consecutive frames. Clean-up of these frames is very challenging and time-consuming, especially when motion is involved, because no proper software exists for these types of defects. The only way is to load up each frame in Photoshop and painstakingly reconstruct the original content.
Note: These frames are from the ungraded RAW scan of the original camera negative and are not representative of the final, color-graded version."

Regarding Celluloid Dream's release of The Case of the Bloody Iris, it sounds quietly encouraging so far.

Would like to throw in a few gialli that I'd like to see get releases, Death Steps in the Dark, Formula for a Murder and Reflections in Black.

Quite like the front cover artwork and list of extras/bonus features for The Case of the Bloody Iris.

Why does DiabolikDVD have this for preorder before the actual label on their own website?

Also, I’m surprised there’s no slipcover or a booklet. Oh well, I still want to get it but I’d rather get it straight from the label’s website.

Personally I don't really care about slipcover (I rather take a slipcase with different artwork) but I do love booklet. Like the ones Indicator have with the Rollin UHD.

And a suggestion to Celluloid dreams is Stephen Thrower. I just love when he talks about movies. Thrower have, in my opinion, the perfect balance when he talk about these movies and he never look down on the movies (I just hate "ohh, it is so bad its funny" people).

I hope when you do diversify, you will be the label that finally brings the extremely fun I fantastici tre supermen to BD.

Very fun cross between an Eurospy/Comedy/Super-Hero film/Caper film, that deserves a proper HD release.

Also, some Italian TV shows (like the ones that Dario Argento had a hand on) would be a great addition to the format.

I don't blame a company that doesn't ship outside the USA these days. There will likely be other ways to pick this up, maybe not the exclusive version, not sure. But, if you want the movie the slip-less version should suffice.

They have an option to pay later, so you won't get charged until it is ready to ship if you want to lock in your copy. I don't know if these are limited though.

Full disclosure. Never saw this film but the fact that this is a 4K mixed with the excitement of a new label I may go all in on that store exclusive. I like a lot of the gialli I’ve seen but I’m not well versed in all the offerings.

And then the whole Edwige Fenech in 4K!

I see this is on Tubi at the moment…but I’m leaning toward my first experience being in (what will hopefully be) glorious 4K. Unless a lot of people who have seen it strongly disagree with a blind buy I’ll definitely wait. Open to discussion!

The insider said that there isn't a limited amount when buying directly from their site. I'm not positive if anyone else will have the slipcover version with lobby card reproductions.

No one else will have the slipcover or the lobby cards. They are limited to direct orders.

That's nice then, so one doesn't have to pick it up immediately. Sometimes, you want to do that, but you feel obligated if something is limited. I'm getting good vibes from this label so far.
