40 GB No Longer a Bundle - Blu-ray Forum

I haven't seen it posted yet so I apologize if it has been done.

Well, the 80 GB is dead. Now the 40 GB stands alone. In the latest shipments of PS3's, Spider-man 3 is no longer bundled inside. I guess that's what they meant by limited edition.

I'm confused I think. Tell me if I'm gettin' you right. Are you saying they're all out of 80's now, and that the 40's don't have Spiderman anymore?

At work(wal mart) we still have 80's and 40's and both have the game and movie respectively. You can still find some, you just have to look and shop around. I've heard people say they found 60's too. I'm sure at the Game Developers Conference or maybe the Tokyo Game Show we'll hear more about Sony's plan about the new 120 or 160 PS3 to put to rest any rumors.

i have not seen any 40gigs in my local best in awile, there all sold out.

I think it's going to hurt sales. I was working the other day and a guy came in to buy a PS3 but we were out of 80's since theyve been discontinued and he really didnt want the non backwards compatible 40gb. They better replace the 80 with whatever theyre cooking up AND SOON!

Backwards compatability was the second most important selling point for me. Right behind Blu-ray. I honestly would not have bought one if the 60GB didn't have BC.

same thing as the original release with Talladega Nights, It ran for a while then it was discontinued

I went to Fry's and they have a whole tower of 40gb that don't come with spider-man....I guess Fry's out here is through....I've seen em still at Gamestop though....
