Unless it's a radical (or near as damn it with the current state of most franchises) departure, new cast/director/the whole lot then...nah I think I'm good. Fallen Kingdom (besides Daniela Pineda being cute) and Dominion I thought were both pretty dreadful.

Lmao@meh

Anyway, of course Universal isn't gonna leave this IP alone. Dominion made a billion.

As long as people keep feeding the sequel machine, it will continue to produce sequels - and prequels, and reboots, and re-imaginings.

Nah, the locusts were cool and I hate insects.

The novel was great but I still love the movie despite it not following the book closely.

David Koepp peaks my curiosity. I just find it typical that they'll advertise a series finale and then time after time they backpedal.

The last merely ended that trilogy IIRC

Ok here’s their chance to do a really cool self-contained story with new characters in a new setting about Dinos in the real world. Hopeful for this!

Well, they were indeed promoting it as a conclusion to the "Jurassic era" which was why they brought on the og characters, including Dodgson as the villain. It summed up all 6 films.

It’s also very much in the spirit of Michael Crichton.

Studios are like Lucy. They assure us this is going to be the final film. Then we go and buy tickets. And we always fall for it.

Ah OK. It get ya. I'll admit, it'd be hard to resist because I love dinosaurs. I do like the World trilogy as well. Anybody who does like Dominion btw would be doing a disservice if they never saw the extended cut. I've never looked back on the theatrical cut after that.

With this being on a fast track, it is probably a reaction to Fast and the Furious.
