This Koontz film adaptation feels more like a Stephen King horror than most Stephen King film adaptations Great atmosphere.

A very unhinged Liev Schreiber definitely beefs things up in the creepy department. One of the highlights for me.

As for the movie itself... I recall that I read the book before the movie came out, and it wasn't very faithful. Nor was it a very good movie.
I might rewatch it again, since I remember almost nothing about it.
There have been a lot of odd, unexpected 4k releases over the last year. Interesting.

It's funny, because the only thing I remember about this movie is them all sitting in a van in the dark at one point, LOL, but I'm actually tempted just to see Ben Affleck just before his Disney-paid-for cosmetic make-over for "Armageddon" in 4K glory LOL.

Armageddon. Bruckheimer's signature move. Did the same for Cruise before Top Gun shot.

I imagine fixing Affleck's teeth would have cost more than the total budget for Phantoms.

Don't remember much about this movie but I recall reading the book ages ago and it was some scary shit I tell you. Did get me into reading some other Koontz books. Might even consider this release.
