It has a great concept. (The Thing meets Silent Hill) but it’s horribly executed. Surely if you could get Peter freaking O’Toole
In your movie you could get a better director the director of Halloween 6

Another one I didn't expect. Very good news. Haven't seen it in years, but I remember it quite well.

It's nice to know many of those mediocre to crap Echo Bridge disks are being remedied mostly by Shout! Factory

Backflips. I'm doing backflips! It's about time.

This Koontz film adaptation feels more like a Stephen King horror than most Stephen King film adaptations Great atmosphere.

A very unhinged Liev Schreiber definitely beefs things up in the creepy department. One of the highlights for me.

So Navy Seals and Phantoms are getting 4k UHDs, now the universe says Clerks and Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back are due.

Always thought this movie has a great start but gets really boring once Peter O Toole and his science team arrive in the little town. And Ben Affleck is hilariously bad as the sheriff.

So then, you'd say he bom'd in this movie, yo?

As for the movie itself... I recall that I read the book before the movie came out, and it wasn't very faithful. Nor was it a very good movie.
I might rewatch it again, since I remember almost nothing about it.
There have been a lot of odd, unexpected 4k releases over the last year. Interesting.

It's funny, because the only thing I remember about this movie is them all sitting in a van in the dark at one point, LOL, but I'm actually tempted just to see Ben Affleck just before his Disney-paid-for cosmetic make-over for "Armageddon" in 4K glory LOL.

Is this the film where he capped his teeth or was it Armageddon? Whenever I watch Mallrats I get dat pre-makeover Ben.

Armageddon. Bruckheimer's signature move. Did the same for Cruise before Top Gun shot.

I imagine fixing Affleck's teeth would have cost more than the total budget for Phantoms.

Don't remember much about this movie but I recall reading the book ages ago and it was some scary shit I tell you. Did get me into reading some other Koontz books. Might even consider this release.

I’m getting more and more confident we’re gonna see a “From Dusk Till Dawn” 4k release from them some point this year!

I do love that the one thing from this movie that's stuck around through the years isn't even from the movie.

I can see it from either them or Vinegar Syndrome. Either way, FDTD should be coming...it HAS to be coming...
