I wasn't impressed at all with its picture quality, The Omega Man, which is older and also released by Warner Bros. looks much much better, just to name an example.

Superman: The Movie looks good on BD, but inside the Daily Planet it looks DNR'd. Soft and no grain.

Just finished watching it, it didn't look too bad. I can't say it was a huge improvement over standard def dvd.

One thing I did notice, if you watch the start of the film when Krypton explodes, I swore I could see what looked like a sheet complete with folds/creases in it, behind the planet/explosion on the left hand side.

Check it out and let me know if I'm seeing things. It was just for a split second as the explosion happens.

The Blu-ray colors look far more natural if you A/B it to the DVD. It almost looks like they color corrected it for BD.
