Different studios, simple as that.

Aside from the commentary, the Bafta Q&A on the Studio Canal version is the only real extra of note, as it's 34mins long.

Is anybody else gonna put this up for pre-order? Never heard of moviezyng.com and would rather use a more major retailer

MovieZyng are the retail arm of Allied Vaughn, who makes the disc. It'll eventually be up at Amazon, and other places.

Just saw where We Love Physical Media (formerly Disc Father) posted on X that the first one is coming soon to 4k from Lionsgate.

Mifune, have you heard of this yet?

No. They do seem to have a Lionsgate insider who feeds them some info, so it could be true, but based on the timing, I assume it was prompted by discussion in this thread of it being recently made available in 4K with DV digitally by Lionsgate.

Would not rely on disc father/et al at all. Dude has not been a good source of info and brings tons of negativity to the space. https://www.reddit.com/r/4kbluray/co...thediscfather/

I'm well aware. I've probably been more critical of him on here than anyone. He's taken most of my leaked info and cover art as his "scoops" without credit, even going so far as taking time to try and wipe away my watermarks (which is so sad and hilarious). The only thing I can say is that someone who works at Lionsgate have provided him with info and artwork in advance of it being public for several years now. Besides that though, he will see me, or someone else say something on here that sounds like a likely release and just post it as if it's confirmed to be coming out. His idiotic followers lap it up, but he basically just throws everything at the wall, and sees what sticks. He's a total clown.

As much much as I'm not against people here, 'eventually' is not very helpful. If Amazon and friends don't move their lazy behind, people could just import the existing UK 4K disc that only differs by having fewer extras. Today, barely a week till release day, didly squat

Yeah, if Amazon doesn't hurry up and list it people are just going to have to suddenly get the UK disc that has only been available for seven years.

Odd how this one (on this site at least) lists that it comes with a slip, never seen any MOD disc say that in my memory, wonder if it’s true or not

I'd assume it was created using the BD entry as a base and just changed the relevant information and the slipcover part was overlooked. I updated a couple things but I left the slipcover section alone until it's confirmed or not.

AFAIK, Sony's the only one who has slips with their MODs.

Per WB, the release date for Paddington 2 4K has been moved back two weeks to 2/25 so I updated the database.

AFAIK I'll be receiving a copy as soon as they're available and will be handling the review.

Hm, MoviezZyng is actually showing March 25th now rather than February :/..Both happen to be Tuesdays, so I wonder which one is correct?

I heard it from WB directly so I'll stick with that for now, but will report back if I hear anything different (or when 2/25 comes to pass, of course).

Hey, turns out neither date was correct! Per Allied Vaughn the planned release date is 3/4, so we'll see if that sticks.

Just saw where HD Movie Source posted the new releases he/they received. Paddington 2 4k was one of them (no slip in his pic by the way).

Wonder if places like Orbit and Atomic received theirs, well, if they even ordered Paddington 2. Not sure.

I'm jealous, obviously, but at least there's confirmation it actually exists!

Yes but impoting usually costs more, and each individual only has so much patience. Even though I have the local to me UK 4K disc, I'm likely to have the new USA one to because it has more extra features. I'll just need to find a couple of other titles to get better value from the delivery

Any word on the US getting 1 in 4k?

I keep passing on the 3-movie set from Orbit (sells out pretty quickly) because I don’t like buying incomplete sets / mixing sets with individual cases. Isn’t there going to be a 4th film?

If that ends up being the only way to get 1 in 4k, I may have to get that set.
