Also Leonardo Di Caprio has become an excellent actor. Greatly improving on his early movies.

Oh no, another "best" poll. The world is a pyramid with only one at the top end everyone else underneath?

Different actors are good for different reasons.

I believe in plurality.

But asking "who is the highest paid actor" might be legit. Asking "who is your favorite actor" is definitely legit.

Chistian Bale makes interesting choices. Even Batman Begins was an intereresting choice.

After doing American Psycho and The Machienest I didn't think he would do Batman Begins.

He was by far the best Batman / Bruce Wayne

I still marvel that he went from 130 lbs (Machienest) to 220 lbs (Batman Begins)

Even though I think that Daniel Day Lewis is the greatest actor alive (and maybe ever), Bale is definitely starting to clear a path for himself for a future Oscar or two. Love those two actors.

BTW, Joaquin Phoenix should have won the best support actor Oscar for his role as Commodus in Gladiator. The man was robbed, plain and simple.

I really like Bale and think he has grown into a fine actor. 3:10 was simply amazing.

I think Russel Crow is amazing also.

Honorable mention to Jack Nicholson in the Departed.

I can see why a lot of people pick Christian Bale. He is an excellent versatile actor.

But I picked Russell Crowe. He is a tremendous actor and I enjoy all his movies. I always look forward to Russell Crowe projects. I feel that whenever he is part of a movie it is going to be great. American Gangster and 3:10 to Yuma are two of my favorite movies of 07. IMO, it's quite of an accomplishment for any actor to star in two 5 star movies in a single year.
