Well as long as they make it while Keaton is still alive.

I think the misspelling was just a promotional gag for the first film's poster, and tied into the charades scene near the end. He knows anyone who says it three times in a row hampers his power, so in the first one he initially won't even say it once to Lydia. Keaton's dialogue about "shopping centers and autographs" is still hilarious beyond reason, though.

Hopefully they'll pick a narrative and stick with it instead of the multple half ass subplots... and drop the wedding shit already.

I still haven't seen the second one, but the original had several plotlines going at once. The Maitlands, Betelgeuse's various schemes, Juno's frustrations, Charles' career, Delia's obsession with appearance, Otho's obnoxiousness, Lydia being an outsider, the idiotic dinner guests, etc.

It had one focused narrative though which was a dead couple trying unsuccessfully to get rid of the new residents of their house by way of haunting and despite many warnings, calling upon a mischievous bio exorcist(Beetlejuice) to help get them out. Of course he has his own plan to escape his own confines so he's no longer a "genie in the bottle."

The sequel, on the otherhand, has so many different narratives going on that could have had their own movie and none of them add up to much of anything. See the movie for yourself, I almost guarantee you'll notice the sloppy script writing that just spins its wheels aimlessly searching for a story

The criticisms of the sequel having too much going on in it are all correct, yet it didn't really bother me.

Yeah, pretty much. It doesn't compare to the original, but I still had a good time with it.

Talk of a Goonies sequel yet again. How often do we keep hearing that?
I wonder if it will actually happen this time.
Let the old team get back together to have another adventure as adults, don't spoil it all by having their kids repeating what they did four decades ago.

While I liked 2, I hope 3 is tighter with less storylines going on.

It seems like third time really is the charm with Beetlejuice.

In addition to the 3rd movie in the series being made, Beetlejuice is also returning to Broadway for a 3rd run later this year.

Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice!
