£34.99 =$46.53 USD, if you order directly from Eureka. From Diabolik... Tariff Surcharge: $4.00 Total Payable Amount $43.99 If your state does taxes, I miss living in Oregon for this stuff. Texas is 8.25 percent. So at the end of it all? $52.14. Oooof. Is Eureka not doing tariffs somehow? I haven't finalized it to see if they would somehow but... it is staying at £34.99 right up to the last screen. 88 Films and Second Sight for sure do add the Tariffs. |

(Sees that dwindling discounted stock) Fine, I’ll watch it on Mubi I guess...
IIRC I once did an order 3 days before the release of one of my basket - they sent everything else immediately so arrived the day before the release date, and the pre-order arrived on release date. So like HMV etc. aim for Could be wrong though, I ordered like 100 things from them that month, went a bit crazy |

Just got mine today and I can't lie, I'm more than a little bit disappointed in the quality of packaging from Eureka.
The box (book wrap style) is fine and sturdy. But it's waaaaaay too big, so my copy was sliding around in there freely and now has crushed corners. How are we in a position in 2025 where you can order directly from a boutique label and they're not bubble-wrapping and using appropriate boxes for these expensive pre-orders? Honestly. It's genuinely not too much to ask. Why don't they care? And with Martyrs coming down the pipeline I'm debating whether to cancel that and order from somewhere else. Are Eureka owned by some shoddy company like Arrow are owned by The Hut? |

Got my copy today. Lovely edition by Eureka with a nice booklet and, of course, a great 4K disc (BD-66) with a FiM encode.
The only thing that’s a bit questionable is that Eureka advertised a "new" 4K restoration on the cover but this doesn’t look like it’s the case. It’s the same scan and probably the exact same master The Film Desk (VS Partner Label) licensed for their BD, only with additional clean-up performed by Eureka or maybe David Mackenzie, which I appreciate but honestly, I was hoping for a new scan as the one made for this "new" 4K master isn’t the best. It’s a scan similar to those Ritrovata made for the Dollars trilogy with a periodic ebb and flow when it comes to image definition, causing a few frames to drop in clarity / sharpness only to jump back to full 4K beauty afterwards. Elsewhere, the lesser defined moments last longer and are more noticeable. Whenever everything’s perfect (most of the time) and there are no occurrences like that, the 4K master is beautiful and looks very good in HDR/DV with great colors and of course encoding. HDR is on the darker side but I love it and the overall experience is film-like. The additional clean-up was worth it and I’d definitely recommend the LE for that alone. |

My copy is on the way. Really looking forward to it. Denis is my favorite director, and I'm so happy to have any of her films available on blu-ray, much less 4k.

I've asked for a replacement slip so we'll see what happens. I probably won't actually get round to watching this for a few years though. As much as I'm curious to see the restoration, I happened to watch the Tartan DVD of it mere days before I saw this had been announced! |

Yes, I’m talking about something else that has to do with the scanning process of the negative.
