You know one thing I wish Rob Reiner would release is the unaired pilot of his sketch show The TV Show, which is essentially where Spinal Tap originated, being featured as a parody band. It's where this whole thing started and deserves to be seen by fans, if not the whole pilot at least the Spinal Tap portions.

Sometimes I wish these boutique titles would get released in a case with an empty slot for an old disc like that when they can't get the rights for it. I've done this in my personal collections where I'll combine two different releases in the same case.

Really excited for this one I need to rewatch it again I've seen some of the film before, but didn't finish it shame on me. I'll definitely be picking this up day one for sure, and watch the entire film this time. Also Flow too day one as well like others have said though while I really do love the cover art I wish it was all black.

A couple of really good French films are also coming out in September too so I might pick those up as well.

But Criterion actually posted this exact scene on their product page, and the word is completely intact:

Awesome news! For those who were around long back when the DVD first came out, that was hot property back in the day with a sky high price. I actually sold it a while back for $75. I later got this one that has a great documentary called This is Spinal Tap: Up to 11. This seems to be the only on this release from what I know. I wish Criterion was able to get it and put it on this release. But still great news this is heading to 4k.
