Oh HELL yes. Before yesterday it seemed like this wonderful film would never even get a good BD release much less a 4K. And now it’s been encoded by FiM?!?!?! Get OUT!

I had a feeling. That boxset looks very much like a labour of love and a worldwide first to boot. All the trappings of a premium release. Didn't seem like one Imprint would hand off to a lesser authoring house.

Jade looks fine but the highlights are a bit rougher than they should be. VS don’t make it easy on their encoder though when they grade their masters to look brighter and punchier, which they did with Jade. Overall it’s a fine disc. It’d need FiM’s involvement to make me consider the Imprint.

Nothing inherently wrong with the VS 4k UHD, although to be honest, I think it does run a little too hot with regards to colors and brightness, which affects highlights.
