WHO exactly do they think the audience for this release is?

We already have a cool blu ray release steelbook...

We already have a nice 4k release...

Collector's only buy another edition if there's cool artwork or swag... this new release has neither...

What is SHOUT thinking????????????????

This gets so redundant. Why not try to acquire Howling IV, V & VI and release them? I mean I don't know who owns the rights now but still. It'd be better than just rehashing the same movie over and over. As much as I love The Howling, this is just pointless... especially being that fugly.

Shout / Scream has some of the ugliest steelbook designs I’ve ever seen. That being said, they occasionally hit it out of the park, like with the Army of Darkness 4K steelbook.

This artist is great at composition and rendering and has been a staple of alternative artwork for years, which makes me think he's getting too expensive for Shout/Scream

The artist, Devon Whitehead, is still working with Shout and doing alternate artwork.

He just did these Sleepaway Camp ones for them

I'm not sure why SF relegates his work to the secondary Slipcover bundles now though instead of Steelbooks as some of his stuff, especially his alternative Robocop 2 slip, would have been a much better SB than what we got.

I never would have guessed it was the same artist. His work on that Robocop 2 slip was phenomenal. And the other work seems like he can clearly understand the assignment.

Contrasted with this makes me wonder if they made him work while he had a concussion or something.

No no, we were just talking about Devon's older work and wishing Shout would have him do Steelbooks again . This Howling one isn't by him.

I don't really hate their art style, but never in a billion years would I look at their portfolio and be like "yeahh, they'd be perfect for The Howling"

I get even great artists have off days, but still.

But it's almost worse to have two people working on this and have it come out this bad, no matter who they are.
