Definitely want to see this on Blu-Ray, especially given the late Conrad L. Hall's incredible cinematography.

And it really pisses me off that people consider it to be an overrated movie. I love this movie so much. It's one of those few films that really makes you value life and makes you want to run out of the theater with a drive to change your life. And how even an ordinary existence can be so beautiful. I have actually gotten into an argument with a playwright who said that Lester not having sex with Angela at the end of the film was a cop-out.

In the published screenplay, Alan Ball writes a great afterword about the evolution of the film and how it morphed from an acid satire of media culture to a very different film, which I think is just absolutely perfect. It's interesting to see how they changed the film as they were making it because they seemed to be driven by the spirit of the film to let it out. I'm amazed that Wes Bentley, Thora Birch and Mena Suvari aren't like A-listers or have bigger careers.

So Paramount, it's great you're getting off your ass and releasing good Blu-Rays of Dreamworks' movies. But once you've blown your load on TRANSFORMERS, get this perfect bit of cinema on Blu-Ray.

Couldn't agree more aside from the last part. One of the worse movies I've ever seen and I'll never watch it again in my life. It left a nasty taste in my mouth afterwards. Horrendous flick that led me to taking IMDB ratings with a grain of salt.

Probably one of the, if not the best soundtrack ever for a movie!!!

Thomas Newman's scores are amazing! Revolutionary Road was also fantastic.

I have to agree that this is a great film. For those of you who loved it check out Lantana, if you can get it. Sam type of film - no nudity though - sorry guys

But yes, this is one movie that would be great in Blu.
