Default Got my Elite player yesterday also from Tweeter

I got my Elite player yesterday also from Tweeter. Worked great right out of the box; easy set-up, great picture and sound. While I'm not using the HDMI connection (my Elite receiver and Sharp projector don't have one), I was mystified that the sound seemed much cleaner. It seemed easier to understand the characters dialogue in "A Knight's Tale", but the player did freeze up at 1 hour 29 min 15 sec and refused to move. I finally had to disconnet power, restart, and eject the disc. There was a fingerprint on it, which I carefully cleaned off. After replacing the disc, the player went right through that spot with no problems. A subsequent viewing of Eight Below played fine all the way through.

So far, so good on this player. I've been on Tweeter's waiting list since mid-December in Chicagoland.

Default Got mine too.....

Last week and as far as picture quality and sound is concerned, I'm stunned. It's really quite amazing. But I'm having issues with the Home Media Gallery. I posted another thread on this as I didn't want to clutter up a review of the player. But it seems that this thread gets a lot more traffic. So, if you could take a look at the other thread and offer some advice I'd surely appreciate it. Thanks and Happy Blu-Ray to everyone.

Let me know if the wireless network adapter works for you, that would be the easiest way for me to take advantage Media Gallery features.

Default Lock up

Last night our Pioneer would not play sound. I had to turn it off and restart it to get it to work right.

Please let me know if anyone else has this problem.

I did a direct CAT-5 wire to my network router.... (the wireless connections all needed a USB connection).
the media gallery feature works, but is sooooo slow,
when compared to just using your computer to view pictures. your server/computer must be active at all times
if the computer goes into standby or hibernation you lose the ability to grab pics or video.
It takes forever for each picture to appear.....
only advantage is that the picture is displayed on my new 1080p 50" pioneer plasma..... so picture is outstanding..
But it is not the best venue for reviewing pictures quickly
the slide show feature works.... again painfully slow
Oh well.........
