Just because you don't like wrestling is no reason for you to insult those who do.

Also, who cares if it is fake (Scripted or predetermined would be more accurate though)? Movies are fake, tv is fake, plays are fake, books are fake. So why do people make a big deal about people enjoying wrestling because it is fake, when most entertainment besides sporting events is also fake?

Hey lets ignore the guy on the high horse who needs a body slam and get back to the topic.

I wouldn't mind getting WWE on blu-ray if The Rock came back and started doing his impressions and one liners. He was a classic. The Rock needs to come back because his movies aren't doing so well. He needs to re-ignite his fans and popularity.

The Gameplan opened at #1 and made $90 Million, which not even Disney expected. When he inducts his father and grandfather into the Hall of Fame the night before Wrestlemania, I am thinking that will be the last time you will ever see him at a live WWE event. Regarding the UFC, I love MMA as well - UFC and EliteXC (which just signed a deal for specials on CBS) are both a lot of fun (and both look awesome in HD). I enjoy my fighting both fake and real (though to say pro wrestling is fake discredits the athletic ability and endurance it requires.)

Wow, look at bigshow pickup that guy with one arm and slam him.
Now look closely and you will see the guy he just picked up push up with his legs.
What?? the bigshow didn't pick him up like dead weight?? The guy helped bigshow pick him up??? Yah stupid he did. It's fake. Get a life.

They tell kids not to do the same stunts as seen on TV because the folks on TV fake the hits. Kids don't.

Go rent back yard wresting. It least it's real.
Ok white trash, good luck with that.

Nah, wrestling's in his blood. The schedule sucks, and he can make more on 1 movie than he would make in 3 years at the WWF. He'll come back when A- He has the time, B- the event is big enough, C-He gets the itch. Since he's showing up for Hall of Fame, I'll bet you he gets involved in the show. He won't be able to resist.

UFC is brutal. It's honestly the worst quality fighting I have ever seen. Try out Pride or something. Anything but the UFC.
This discussion has gone waaaay off topic. Wrestling fans like wrestling, leave it at that. If someone chooses to call it fake than ask them to step in the ring with a pro. I'll be the first to admit ive had my ass beaten around by some indy wrestlers. Fake or not, those guys are tough as nails. It's your choice to think what you want of it, but I really dont feel there needs to be an immature argument going on about it.
I think one thing we can all agree on is that is awesome WWE is coming to Blu-Ray, because that means it's not ever going to be on HD DVD.

I have to agree, UFC is just horribly boring to watch, just like most of the MMA crap. They just put them in submission holds and wait for them to give up orpass out. While that may be smart fighting,it's certainly not something really good to watch.

In wrestling, because it's a show, you can turn a submission hold into major drama, work the crowd emotions and it's very involving. Not so much when someone's actually being choked otu

I was a WWE fan for many years. But now I think the things they do now are lame. Like the time Vince challenged God to a wrestling match-Ok. I also thought last years Wrestlemania was a disapointment and have not rented a WWE pay per view since then.
The gimick that made me tune out was when we found out that Vince had a son that he did not know about and then we find out it was the liitle midget guy Hornswogle.I thought that was so dumb that I stopped watching and I have not watched it since.
I do sometimes watch TNA.TNA has put on some pretty good shows and they have Kirt Angle. I'm also impressed with AJ Styles.AJ is an awsome wrestler.

To put this thread back on track, I only pick up the Wrestlemania DVD's, I couldn't care less about the other PPV's. If WWE offered this year's Mania on Blu-ray, then that's the one I'm picking up.

Oh and backyard wrestling sucks.

There are some backyard leagues that are good. Not to watch, but to participate in. Of course all of us had taken extensive martial arts and gymnastics, we knew how to fall, and how to do stuff so as not to get hurt.

3-4 of us did go on to train at Afa the Wild Samoan's school, and several wrestled in regional promotions.

Of course, we never did any of the cheese grater, jumping off the roof stupid stuff. No one got hurt, it was fun, and when not getting hit, I learned pretty well how to shoot a live sporting event.
