Default WWE on Blu-ray

Saw this on Rajah.com:

Quote:
With WWE's production studios switching over to high-definition, we've received word that the company will soon be releasing DVDs of those events in the Blu-Ray high-definition format.

Very interesting about Weinstein.

I'm more of an "old school" WWF/WCW fan from the 80s and 90s, so there probably won't be any Blu releases from that era.

I don't know they don't broadcast in HD for their regular programming.

Hopefully they don't convert old events to blu ray. I have hundreds of WWE DVDs. I'm guessing the first blu ray release will be Royal Rumble.

I was thinking WrestleMania XXIV, but seeing that the Royal Rumble will be the first PPV in HD, I guess that'll do. Undertaker's enterence in HD for the win!

And don't forget the upcoming Royal Rumble PPV will also be in HD

P.S. Not sure about the ScoreHD getting the HD feeds... we'll have to wait a week to find out (I HATE THEIR STUPID TICKER! )

Ha ha, I was just discussing WWE going high-def next week with a friend who also watches, and he said the same thing about a second before I was going to say it. Then I come on here and read your comment, which also says the same thing.

It seems like a lot of people are fearing high-def Snitsky! Somebody get the man a tube of Oxy 10 already. Yech!

(Maybe high-def Snitsky will finally get me to stop watching this trash, as the only enjoyment I usually get out of it is being able to complain about how stupid it is.)

Yes, the Score will be airing both RAW and Smackdown in HD starting next week.

True. Being a collector, it'll piss me off if they don't start blu ray off with the first PPV of the year.

A while back they mentioned not brodcasting it because in HD, some of the 'slights of hand' and moves looked TOO obvious.

I can only assume they went stright to work on getting things a little 'closer', maybe even if its only for the big events, so that HD doesnt ruin the fun.

Also, just like hi-def porn, the birthmarks and all of the lumps and bumps of the divas will show up on screen. I hope they don't do that with TNA's knockouts, I love the Korean hotness that is Gail Kim. PS, did you see the end of this week's RAW? I mean, Jeff doin' that swanton onto Orton was even more mad than when he did the wisper in the wind onto Umaga (or Yoomanga to William Regal) off the steel cage.
