If your WalMart doesn't carry certain titles use site to store.

My Wal-Mart has usually around a dozen or so titles, with about 5 copies of each. All newer releases within the last 2 weeks or so.

Oh and I just noticed your a newbie too. Good for you, making a good impression already
Chamberlain owns all. I've been a fan of his since he was playing back at UNK (Nebraska-Kearney). He's actually made me a Yankees fan, since he's my second favorite player (behind Alex Gordon).

I agree, and I'm as mystified as you are. What are they waiting for?

Walmart is an 800 LB gorilla in the marketplace, and is used to dictating terms to their suppliers. They probably don't have stranglehold status on the studios for Blu yet, so they're not going to go into it bigtime.

Yeah Walmart here sucks too. They have a decent numbe rof titles on the shelf but they seem to be all the same ones. They gotta get BD off an end cap and give it a better section and have it all alphabetical in my store.

I try to buy most of my BDs at Futureshop instead.

I've never gone to Wal-Mart expecting to find an older catalog title. I use them strictly for new releases.

I work at a fairly big Wal-Mart located in a small city. I have about 5 stores surrounding me within 10-30 minute drive. All of them have an awful selection of Blu's.

I have noticed Wal-Mart is playing if safe. They waited till major signs of the former war to be over to even announce full support. So I'm sure now as Blu becomes more dominate Wal-Mart will soon increase numbers of copies of new releases and even catalog titles as well. It will take some time, but I know it was a topic of talk at their last annual meeting a month or so ago.

But I agree as of now I rarely buy my Blu's there, unless its a brand new release and no one else is running sales. I work there and never see them have any bargains on their Blu's.

I'm hoping they see what Target is doing in this weeks AD and it drives them to compete a little more.

I also hate shopping at CC for Blu's. Their sections are also horribly laid out and hard to shop. But they do have slightly more titles crammed in their section than Wal-Mart and run the occasional deal.

My local Wal-Mart is pretty good at getting new releases, but they only get about 5 copies at most, and once they're gone, they don't seem to reorder. I prefer to buy my BD's at Best Buy though, although I got Hitman at Sears yesterday cause it was on sale and I had a coupon

My Wal-Mart and Sam's Club is pathetic. I thought they were going to really get on board with Blu-Ray? I'm very happy with Amazon. They can't be beat.

Thumbs up Retail BD Selections (Brick and Mortar)

I gave up running all over town to search for my BD's.The only store that has any selection is BestBuy(and still not too much).I've decided to order from Amazon exclusively until selections improve dramatically. For example,I ordered No Country for Old Men and I Robot from Amazon and the total cost was $51.00.The shipping is free(Super Saver) on BD orders over $25.I don't mind paying around $25 per BD..but not much more than that...not $30 and certainly not $35-40 that the mall stores want.If I had bought both of these titles in BestBuy(the cheapestB&M store)it would have cost me almost $70 including taxes!
Keep in mind that free(Super Saver) orders take longer...7-10days.Just order what you want ahead of time so you can have what you want-when you want it.

My Walmart in Langley(Vancouver suburb) has a limited selection of bds. The only movie there I could pick up the other day was I Robot. It was $28. I went to Best Buy directly afterwards(across the street) and the same movie was $34.99. They had ID4 as well but at the same price $34.99. So I didn't get it. The Best Buy has a full rack of titles plus some on rack behind it. New releases are on a front shelve with standard dvds. A nice selection, just too pricey.
