I liked the Gene Wilder one better but i voted both. On a Gene wilder side note id love See no evil, Hear no Evil with Richard Pryor, love that movie.

This one would have. Wonka is supposed to be more like a michievous wood sprite than anything else. Other than that, the burton movie, minus the stupid father issues subplot that was inserted for no reason is nigh perfect to the book.

The sequel on the other hand, no, that wouldn't do well at all as a movie
