It's a goofy thread!

The sucky thing about hobby budgets is that sometimes you don't know what the budget should be. If I had know how much of a difference HD audio and video made at the outset, I would probably have saved more than the difference had I doubled my budget at the beginning, considering the upgrades I have made since.

I guess that's the point. Is anyone ever really going to be happy with the set-up they have? There is always going to be something that's just missing.
But seeing some d**chbag waving around $7,000.00 asking for help spending his money can really get to you on a Monday morning. And like everything else I post it was meant as a joke.

First, I am happy with my setup and have no plans to upgrade - at least for quite a while. Second, calling some a name just because they have more to spend then you is, well, d**chbaggy. When someone is asking for help picking out components, the first thing I want to know is there budget. And keep in mind, $7000 is not a ton to spend on a home theater. On most AV sites, that is at best average.

1st. Did you read my origional post where I have $1,000,000,000,000. to spend? $7,000.00 is not more than that. 2nd This is the off-topic thread,
now had I replied to the posts I'd been talking about with a smart@ss coment that would be d**chbaggy. 3rd Read the last line you quoted me from.

I plan to purchase a front projector and screen in the future (probably within a year or so, depends when we find the new house) Does looking for advice on a $5-8K combo make me a D-Bag??? Right now I'm looking at the Black-Pearl, but I've seen mixed reviews on screens.
