i have been on this forum for 5 months, and that is the first time anybody has ever said anything about me having a similar name to jjXIV whatever....i didnt notice that we had the same name when i made my account....this is the name i use on every single forum i go on and every account i make has jj5206 or jj75XP so i didnt make this to copy somebody, i have been actually using it on different sites for the past 4 years

lol, don't worry, we're just messing around - there was a situation in which a forum member, he-who-must-not-be-named, claimed he had a trademark on his name and nobody could imitate it (say, change the last word but keep the first word). And somehow he got the mods to enforce it. I think a payment was made, into large, off-shore accounts somewhere in the Caiman islands.

...dont complain about hd cables...get an hdtv that has hdmi..then u can complain that it didnt come with an hdmi cable

as much as i would love to, i dont have money like that to spend right now...but i did buy a cable, and it does look pretty impressive in 1080i and i am fine with it until i get a 1080p tv

but the whole purpose of this thread was how crazy i think it is, that my xbox 360, which has no future movie playback comes with the hd cables out of the box, but a system (PS3) that has Blu-ray playback, which needs hd cables to look good, doesnt come with any in the box...

component cables as the OP has inquired about will output 720p, which should be included in a system like this, the standard a/v cables that Sony has put with the PS, PS2, and now the PS3. SOny does need to step up with the 21st century and update that component, but I see why they havent as a majority prolly use the PS3 on a TV that doesnt have that output so the standard a/v cable will work on every situation without issue. I guess its a sure way for straight out of the box play

i'll lay it out like this. sony loses money on every ps3 they make so therefore they're going to try to profit on every possible thing they can. that's why you get the composites with it. so you buy the components or the HDMI cables seperately and they make their profit off of the peripherals and games.
