How do you get quicktime on your PS3 in the first place?

I can't download Quicktime on my PS3 because I don't have Windows XP or MAC, is there a way to get it without an operational device?

Except if you in Canada - for some reason it is not there.

All files are converted to stereo, because multichannel AAC cannot be passed through. Trailers that are originally in stereo fare the best, because there's no downmixing or altering of the original audio source. Multichannel AAC sounds less than optimal, because the QT app seems to do a crappy job of downmixing. If you don't believe me, try to export the first 300 Trailer...the drums in the beginning sound absolutely awful.

Well, I figured out how to rip the raw multichannel AAC from the .mov, turn the video file into an .mp4, and mux the AAC with it.

Unfortunately, the PS3 doesn't seem to do multichannel ACC.

A friend of mine has a apple computer and quicktime pro so he can change the .mov files to mp4 files. Then he just copies it to a disc so I can download it onto my PS3. (He mentioned he did a passthrough, don't know what that means). Sunshine trailer looks awesome!

I've tried some freeware programs but they aren't as good as when my friend does it.

I've been getting apple.com trailers and using the passthrough feature on quicktime pro then simply putting them all on a usb hard drive and playing it on the PS3. One trailer is bothering the hell out of me though. Has anyone had trouble with the Spiderman 3 trailer on Yahoo(Not the teaser) ?? I never fully downloads, it always just stops downloading and never finishes !!! So if anyone knows how to fix this or has the actual file, i'd appreciate it. Thanks

You have to reboot if it fails to download. Before you reboot, clear your cache.

It's a great trailer.

Is it worth the $29.99 for quicktime pro so I can put trailers in HD on my ps3? Do the trailers look really good, like full HD?

Can't decide, would I want to buy a new blu-ray, or should I buy Quick time pro so I can put HD vids on my PS3? tough question, anyone have any suggestions?

Hard to say. If you do 50% basic video editing, maybe QT Pro is valueable. If you don't, then just stick to a new BD title.

I don't have the bandwith to upload the trailers that I've upconverted to MP4 but maybe someone else has and s/he also has QT Pro. So maybe that arrangement might work.

For trailers that are in stereo only, Yamb works well. Look at the first post of this thread.

The same thing happened to me. Did you download the third trailer from Apple.com or whysoserious.com? Because I didn't get the line when I downloaded it from Apple.com.
