I really don't think you need to worry too much about the PS3. Seriously... it's not an Xbox 360.

I guess you dont read much on this forum. Ive seen alot of members say this, i myself had this happen on my 20gb model. It seems to happen most often on the 40gb though.

lol, yeah, it's been coming up here, on AVS over at ps3 forums. Everywhere I go more and more people are claiming it. mostly seems to come from the sept 40 gig and 80 gig models.

I spoke to Costco support before purchasing my ps3 40gig and they informed me that there's no return policy for playstations. I still have the initial email for future reference, if needed.

Well for all of those wondering about Costco they finally got back to me. Their support staff wrote that game consoles don't fall under the 90 day guarantee and fall under their 100% guarantee. Well I'm off to Costco to buy a PS3

WTF!!!! my Costco's now don't Carry PS3's or 360's at all locally!!!! they haven't for 3 months and supposedly have no plans of selling them

well, found a costco that does have them. Ok, for anyone who shops there regularly or works there. Is the receipt tied to a membership #??? for example, If I went with my parents (who have a membership) and bought the PS3 with cash and then had to return it (god forbid) could I go in with my own membership or another friend who has a membership card and exchange it?? or would they see that the membership # is different and refuse??

Glad you know for sure now though. also we were out of ps3's and 360s at my warehouse for a while. just got'em back in. they're just barebones bundles though. no games or anything.

as long as you have the reciept for it there wont be any problems trust me.
