I don't miss it at all. In fact, I really glad it's over. This site has grown a lot since then, even in just a few months. The end of the format war has been a maturation process for this site. We've gone from fan boys trading barbs to actually having real discussions about film and gaming entertainment.

Blu-Ray.com has become (always was really) a recognized leader in discussion of the technology, home theater and the pure fun of watching movies. It was great to be a part of shaping the outcome of the format war. Now everyone gets to reap the benefits. I think it's better now than it ever was.

Could have asked the Godfather for help. Would have been taken care of a long time ago. Bada Bing

I miss some of the civil debates, and I miss the excitement of the big news days, but I really like not having to worry about going without Iron Man, Hulk, or any other movie on Blu-ray.

They are all over at highdefdigest now, all toting the wonders of digital downloads and 960p super upconversion of standard DVDs. Kinda sad.....

Anyone who misses the actual war is what I would consider a troublemaker, strife should never have even been a part of this "war", I'm a home theater geek, I enjoyed all the formats and had some fun, any trouble was ridiculous to begin with. I do miss the bogos though

With the constant barrage of FUD and forums elsewhere being such a mess (as HD DVD supporters clashed with blu-ray supporters), the format-war was just tiresome. So, I don't miss it at all. IMO, it's nice having everything back to normal.

I certainly won't miss it if we get lots of nice high quality goodies from the likes of Universal and Paramount.

PS... does anyone here still keep referring to Paramount by a descriptive sobriquet even though the war is over???

miss the war? how can you miss something that is still around. Look at how many BD is dead articles and posts are still coming out. Unfortunately nothing has changed. It was never about HD DVD ist was about trying to stop BD.

The war was my claim to fame.

And I think my down fall.

Many hated me for it. Others respected me. But hey, I am one of you now. So, no real harm done.

Haven't seen more than maybe one good BOGO since.

The war brought down prices. Since then, they've pretty much stayed the same or increased.

I am very happy the format war is over. I am thrilled that when I see films like Iron Man I know if will be available on Blu-ray.

Do you want to feel the war again ?

here you say it .. here I'm coming ...

Just keep waiting for one day or two ... and then you'll be able to see it.
