ima take the cake for this one.. or my g/f cousin is.

hes a dwarf *short person* rides around on his scooter.

We went to a movie with him one time and there was a whole row of prolly 13yr old girls in front of us just yappin the hell away even during movie. So he yelled at them *omg are you on crack? dont you ever shut up*. They turned around.. say a lil dude.. and turned back around quietly.

So yeah the best way is to take a lil guy with ya

Okay the best way to get someone to shut up at a movie use the following.

If they're siting in front of you, take you're drink pour it on top of they're head.

If they're siting behind you, take you're drink turn around and throw it in they're face.

and when they ask why'd you do that? say this "BECAUSE YOU WOULDN'T SHUT THE F**K UP!!!"

- Inform them that you're going to burn the movie theater down right then and there, if they don't stop behaving in such an annoying manner.

- Flick a lighter and grin like a maniac, some deep laughter from the belly for good measure.

- You'll never hear a peep from said parties again during the film.

- Profit!

Well this one time I went to an Imax Lion King.... A little girl and her mom were in the front row. The girl didn't SHUT UP the ENTIRE time young Simba was there. so what did I do? I took an Ice cube and threw it at the girl. I nailed her right in the back of the head. The ice melted and no one knew.

i usually be a smart ass and say something like "are they really going to talk this loud through the whole movie?". obviously you have to say it loud enough for everyone to hear.

or when somebody is on their phone texting, i'll tap them on the shoulder and ask them where we're going after the movie. when they give you the confused look just tell them you thought they were planning a party and you thought thats why they needed to be on the phone.

i find being a smart ass is the most effective and enjoyable. shocking coming from me right

My solution: wait for the Blu-ray to come out and avoid the movie theater like it was the source of Bird Flu.

+1 If you go before noon on a weekend at my local AMC it's much cheaper and the crowd isn't nearly as noisy as the later showings.

At the theaters I frequent they usually play the movies so loud that unless the talkers are sitting right next to me I can't hear them anyway.

If you're sitting behind them, turn the volume up on your cell phone so that the key tones are audible, then pretend to dial a phone # (wait for a quiet point in the movie). Make sure they're within earshot, then pretend like you're having a conversation with the manager and explain in a stern voice that the people in front of you are being loud, and if he doesn't get in there you're going to take matters into your own hands. Wait a few moments, and then act surprised and say something like, "oh, wow, you would ACTUALLY do that? Holy shit, I feel sorry for these dumbasses." Proceed to say where they're seated, then say thanks, pretend to hang up the phone, and let out a bit of a satisfied chuckle.

The key here is, you leave it to their imagination what you were talking about. It's kind of ridiculous when you think about it (like why would I have the theater phone# with me), but the perpetrators will probably be too freaked to work it out. I've done that twice and both times the noise makers left the theater.

You could always handle the situation the way they did in "Scary Movie"

...

but, I think that may be illegal.

I show them my Walker: Texas Ranger Official Deputy badge.

They quiet down but I end up having to sign popcorn bags and Wrangler jeans after the movie.

My brother went to a midnight showing once and right before they started the movie the manager walked out and said, "Now I know you kids like to be loud and crap during movies but remember... there's about 200 people in here right now that have waited hours to see this movie tonight. All the security has gone home and it will take the cops at least 5 minutes to get here. 200 people really wanting to watch the movie... 5 minutes... you do the math. Enjoy!"
