Hmmm, Netflix is still saying June 03 for both Cloverfield and There Will Be Blood. They almost always get a release on the day of...

If it does come out in May, nothing is going to stop you from being able to get it in June.

Sadly, according to Bill Hunt, Paramount maintains the June 3rd release date and that for whatever reason, all retailers jumped the gun.

I still have my preorder from amazon and we shall see if they can get it out by then.

Why would Paramount want to release 2 of their highest priority titles on the same day that their entire back catalog gets re-released? The press release specifically says June 3.

The bottom line is they will either be out May 20th or it be out on June 3rd. May 20th would rock a little more because I REALLY want to get Cloverfield. It is kinda weird that so many retailers show a date change and not just a single source But hey they will be out when they're out.

I think the stores were just going by a quick reading of the original press release. Unless you read several paragraphs down for clarification, it looked like both titles were coming on May 20. Seriously, you'd think Paramount could get someone to proofread their press releases.

Hopefully, the retailers will accidently release them on May 20th.

I wouldn't complain... though I doubt Paramount will actually have them in retailers hands by then. They're going to be so busy trying to get the actual May 20 new titles and rereleases back to retailers in time, I can't imagine them actually getting the June 3 titles to retailers that early.

Circuit City's website has May 20th for Cloverfield and There Will Be Blood. I wonder what is going on. I hope these do get released on that day.

I moved There Will Be Blood out of my amazon order for May 20 to my now very big June 3 order. I don't want them figuring out on May 19 that they are wrong causing a delay until June 3 of the shipping of the rest of my order from May 20 since it's a "ship them all at once when they are all ready" type of order.
